No decision made on possible civil confinement of sex abuser and would-be kidnapper

The man convicted of trying to kidnap a Saratoga high school athlete and raping a woman in Connecticut faced a hearing on Friday.

No decision was made on the possible civil confinement of John Regan in Plattsburgh.

The state wants to hold him after his prison sentence. He was planning to live in Saratoga County upon his release.

Another hearing is now set for May.
