Shen voters approve land deal

CLIFTON PARK -- Those disputed woods in Clifton Park will remain woods.

Voters in the Shenendehowa School District overwhelmingly passed a proposal to sell the 37 acres to the Town of Clifton Park for $1.1 million to preserve it as park space.

At one point, the land almost went to a developer with plans to build on the land.

The final vote Tuesday was over 2,700 votes in favor and only 535 votes against.
