The 37 acres of land sold for $1.1 million.

The parcel is on Route 146 between Maxwell Drive and Moe Road.

Voters approved the deal back in December.

The school district tried to sell the land three times. The first two attempts were voted down because residents were concerned the land would be used for commercial development.

Under the deal finally agreed upon, the town can only develop the land for public use, like a park.
