Man in stable condition after Schenectady shooting

SCHENECTADY – There is no arrest yet in Thursday's shooting on State Street in Schenectady.

Police identify the victim as 46-year-old Diagnon Freeman.

They say he was shot around 2 p.m. Wednesday while walking in the street.

He was taken to Albany Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The shooting happened in front of a city security camera, and police are reviewing the footage.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police.
