A Capital District high school is holding its annual 24-hour dance marathon.
The 41st South High Marathon Dance at South Glens Falls High School is set to run through Saturday evening with about 800 students dancing around the clock.
The students in recent years have raised more than $500,000 annually for charities and local causes.
The marathon started in 1978 as a small gathering to raise money for a local emergency squad.
