Schenectady police make arrest in stabbing incident

SCHENECTADY -- Schenectady police say a 21-year-old city woman was stabbed in the back by her ex-boyfriend on Tuesday as part of a domestic dispute.

Police say she was found stabbed in the area of 933 Park Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. She was taken to Albany Medical Center.

Earl Emmanuel of Schenectady, the woman's ex-boyfriend, was arrested later Tuesday. The 17-year-old now faces numerous charges, including assault in the first degree. He's currently being held in police custody awaiting arraignment.
