Drivers hospitalized after serious Greenwich crash

GREENWICH - There was a serious accident Tuesday morning at a troubling intersection in Washington County.

The call came in just before 5 a.m. Two pick-up trucks slammed into each other at the intersection of Bulson Road and Route 40 in Greenwich.

The crash sent both trucks off the road, flipping one of them. Investigators say both drivers were taken to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries.

"It’s a combination of a lot of things," explained Chief Stephen Wilbur with the Middle Falls Fire Department. "It's a tough intersection here with visibility on the crossroad and a lot of people just drive above the speed limit."

Both trucks were totaled in the accident. There is no word on any charges filed against either driver.
