CATSKILL - Russia says they are using military helicopters and rescue teams looking for a missing mountain climber who grew up in Catskill.

Steven Beare, who is now a police officer in Colorado, hasn't been seen since June 14, when a storm hit the Russian mountain he was climbing alone.

Colorado Congressman Mike Coffman says he has met with Russia's ambassador in Washington, D.C. and they've pledged to help find Beare.

There is a prayer vigil for the missing climber at St. Patrick's Church, Monday evening at 7:30 in Catskill. That’s where Beare's family attends services.
