SUNY Poly’s president says the reductions are intended to improve efficiency and operations at the institute, which oversees some of Governor Cuomo's efforts to attract high-tech jobs to New York.

The layoffs and other changes will save $10 million a year.

Former President Alain Kaloyeros resigned last year after being charged with awarding lucrative contracts to hand-picked companies. Kaloyeros says he's innocent.
