Three Capital Region brothers charged with burglary

BALLSTON SPA -- Three Capital Region brothers have been charged with burglary.

Police say 23-year-old Patrick Weatherwax of Saratoga Springs, 23-year-old Matthew Weatherwax of Saratoga Springs, and 26-year-old Joseph Weatherwax of Earlton were arrested after an investigation into a complaint at a residence on Greenfield Avenue in Milton.

Police say the three brothers, plus a fourth person yet to be charged, stole copper from a building on multiple occasions and sold it in the city of Albany. The copper was worth $2,200.

The three brothers were arraigned and sent to the Saratoga County Jail due to lack of bail. 

Authorities say charges are pending against the fourth suspect, who is currently incarcerated in another state.
