Trial of alleged 'Sleeper Creeper' begins in Saratoga County

BALLSTON SPA - The trial of Ramiz Hajratalli got underway Tuesday afternoon in Ballston Spa.

Hajratalli is being tried on burglary charges related to two incidents in Saratoga Springs.

The 32-year-old is accused of letting himself into two homes over the summer to watch the residents sleep. Prosecutors say he's been following women and entering their homes for years.

Hajratalli is claiming innocence and has turned down a plea that would have sent him to jail for seven years.
