AUSTERLITZ - Another state trooper is being recognized for the way he helped someone in the community.
Earlier this month, Trooper Louis Godfroy went to Route 22 in Austerlitz for a report of a lost dog. Turned out, the dog was hit and killed by a car.
Godfrey realized the dog's 92-year-old owner was in no condition to bury the dog, so the next day while off duty, he went to the man's house and buried the dog for him.
