Troy engages in another budget battle

TROY -- Troy has a budget battle on its hands again.

The city council rejected a nearly $3 million revenue item in Mayor Patrick Madden’s proposed budget. It’s a $190 annual fee for residents for garbage pickup.

The mayor says that leaves the budget with a $2.9 million hole.

The budget is due next Tuesday.
