MARIAVILLE -- Warmer temperatures this weekend had skiers heading to the slopes.

They took advantage of the fresh powder that fell earlier this week. People packed the slopes at Maple Ski Ridge in Mariaville.

The cold weather earlier this month wasn't great for business.

“A couple of weeks ago we had to cancel because of coldness. It was just way too cold to be out here,” said skier Thomas Green.

“A good 20 degree day is good. You don't want to sweat or anything like that when you're out here,” said Scott Melanson of Maple Ski Ridge.

If you're looking to hit the slopes, Maple Ski Ridge will be open Sunday from 9 to 6.
