Thurman Bridge slated to re-open

The Thurman Bridge, also known as the Route 418 Bridge, should re-open Wednesday after one more look by Warren County and state officials.

An ice jam backed up the water over the roadway and then exposed road damage. The town of Thurman declared an emergency back on January 13.

The bridge itself was intact but access on the west side was a problem. The bridge connects Thurman and Warrensburg, and without it, residents on the Thurman side have had long detours to get across the Hudson River.
