Police assure it wasn't a hate crime. Rocks is a gay bar.

They are not releasing the suspect’s name at this time.

“Our detectives have been working hard since Thursday morning to identify a suspect in the shooting. At this point, we have determined who we believe the suspect is in the shooting. We've also determined that victim and the suspect knew each other and that this was an isolated incident,” assured Steve Smith, with the Albany Police Department.

Anyone with information is still asked to call the Albany Police Detectives Division at (518) 462-8039.
