Convicted rapist found guilty of not registering as sex offender

There was a guilty verdict Friday in the case of Wilfredo Diaz. He had to register as a sex offender after a rape conviction in 2002, but never notified the state where he was working this summer, which is a violation.

Police found out about it when he was arrested for rape last summer in Saratoga Springs. He was found guilty of predatory sexual assault in that case.

In June, Diaz will be sentenced to up to life in prison.
