Calendar makes a business of highlighting working women

The debate over women being paid the same as men for the same job is an ongoing controversy. The Workforce Development Institute is making it its business to show the public the kind of work women are doing by using a calendar.

The women featured work in union shops throughout the state and are highlighted for their dedication, accomplishments and contributions to their respective jobs.

Among the people profiled on the calendar are a chemical operator, journeyman ironworker, a public safety & police dispatcher and an assignment editor here at NewsChannel 13.
