Wreath laying ceremony held in Schuylerville

SCHUYLERVILLE -- Thousands of wreaths were laid at the graves of veterans Saturday at the Gerald Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Saturday marked National Wreaths Across America Day. It’s a day to honor the service and lives of veterans.

Every volunteer who places a wreath on a veteran's grave is encouraged to say that veteran's name aloud and take a moment to thank them for their service to our country.

A total of 1.2 million wreaths were placed on markers across the country in more than 1,200 locations.
