Absentee ballots being counted in tight Rensselaer County executive race

The ballot counting continues in the Rensselaer County executives race.

Absentee ballots were counted Monday in North Greenbush. More will be counted Tuesday in Troy.

Republican Steve McLaughlin declared victory on election night, but Andrea Smyth has not conceded.

McLaughlin is leading by about 1,000 votes.
