Final inauguration preps underway as boycott threats continue

(NBC News) Russia piled more controversy onto the upcoming inauguration of president-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday, alleging the release of last week's unverified reports was an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of Mr. Trump's presidency.

This comes as the president-elect is embroiled in a feud with civil rights leader, Rep. John Lewis, who says that Mr. Trump's election is illegitimate because of Russian interference. 

Rep. Lewis has vowed to boycott Friday's inauguration ceremonies.

The president-elect has also moved to pair back the usual inauguration celebrations, set to hold a 90-minute parade and just three inaugural balls.
