WASHINGTON, D.C. - Newly elected members of Congress had their picture taken Tuesday on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.

Republican John Faso was there, representing New York's 19th Congressional District.

Faso defeated Democrat Zephyr Teachout in last week's election.

In January, he will replace his Kinderhook neighbor, Chris Gibson, who is retiring.

House Republicans met Tuesday and re-nominated Paul Ryan as House speaker.
