Baseball stars roll through Albany on way to Cooperstown

ALBANY – Some of baseball's biggest stars passed through the Albany International Airport on Thursday, including Hall of Famers Wade Boggs and Gaylord Perry.

They're on their way to Cooperstown for the annual Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.

Perry says he looks forward to the event every year, especially the perks that go along with it.

“Having the good food at the hotel and not having to pay for it [and] see all the old guys,” he says. “Been coming up since 1991. Great to see 'em all.”

Former New York Mets catcher Mike Piazza will be inducted along with Seattle Mariners outfielder Ken Griffey Jr.

Festivities get underway Friday and run through Sunday.
