GREENFIELD CENTER - Saratoga Race Course is a place of beauty, style and grace. It’s a place of cheers and champions. Like a furious sprint in the stretch the racing is here and then gone. But what about those horses those magnificent creatures that cause a crowd of thousands to live and die with each stride?

In Greenfield Center, a short drive from the race course, is “Old Friends at Cabin Creek.”

“That’s where we need to make sure that every horse that’s bred to race has a promise of a good life,” explained JoAnn Pepper with Old Friends at Cabin Creek. “I just always loved horses and horseracing and just knew there was a need for a place like this.” Pepper co-owns the facility with her husband, Mark.

It's a retirement community for horses, thoroughbreds who even today still spark so many great memories for fans.
If you come to the farm, you can even feed some past champs.
