Saratoga summer meet ends

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Monday marked the final day of the summer meet at the Saratoga Race Course.

People were lined up before the gates even opened at 7 a.m. The first post was at 12:30 p.m.

The action packed season of horse racing entered the final stretch with featured stakes races, which included the G1 Hopeful and G2 Bernard Baruch Handicap.

Fans in attendance were able to purchase some popular items, such as hats, t-shirts and clocks.
