Union men's hockey team helps serve Thanksgiving dinner

SCHENECTADY -- The goal of the Union College men’s hockey team on Tuesday was to serve Thanksgiving dinner.

The players were at the YMCA’s 845 Commons in Schenectady serving meals to veterans.

"It's kind of a team building thing, but the best part about it is you have a chance to help others, and I think that the biggest part of the team building,” said Union head coach Rick Bennett.

“It's nice we get to come every year,” added junior Cole Maier. “It's the third year for us now that we've been here, and everybody enjoys it.”

The Dutchmen have been participating in this dinner for 13 years.
