AGWAM, Mass. - A new 4D roller coaster is opening at Six Flags New England in Agawam, Mass. It's called The Joker 4D Free Fly Coaster and it’s based on Batman's arch-enemy.

The 60-second ride utilizes science, technology, engineering and math to send riders into a frenzy.

"You're going up and down hills and you're experiencing negative Gs as you're spinning, so you can be coming out of your seat or pushed back into your seat and experience up to 4Gs throughout the ride course," said Kyle Croegaert with Six Flags New England.

It's not for the faint-of-heart. The Joker climbs up 120-feet, has over 1,000 feet of track and reaches a speed of 38 miles per hour. You won't have time to do the calculations. Because of the built-in magnets, you might flip once, twice, or eight times. Constructed by S&S Worldwide, the magnets have fins that catch as you go through the course. They pull you or push you and spin the seat 360-degrees.

"The trains are made in a way that you can face forwards or backwards and depending on weight distribution, you might be getting more flips or less flips. No matter what you're doing, you're getting a chaotic ride and it's a different, unique experience every time," said Croegaert.

It's one of 13 coasters at the park, some with the Batman theme. You're flipping head-over-heels as you go through the ride. It's as if the clown prince of crime is either chasing or running from the Dynamic Duo.
