An 11-year-old girl who fell through the ice at a Washington Park lake on Saturday has now died, Albany Police said.

This follows the death of a 12-year-old boy who also fell in.

The girl fell in while trying to save the boy, police said. She had been at the hospital ever since.

Both children are students at North Albany Middle School.

A crisis team at the school has been helping people deal with the tragedy.
