With warmer weather on the horizon, Albany is taking more steps to stop people from gathering in groups.

Signs have been posted at city parks and playgrounds, but people continue to play basketball.

The Albany Department of Recreation was out closing down courts on Tuesday. More than 40 hoops across Albany are now tied up and blocked off.

“We got a lot of complaints from every corner of the city about seeing groups of people playing basketball. We’ve gone to the next step of really sealing off the hoops,” said Mayor Sheehan.
