Albany County announces first coronavirus death at St. Peter's Hospital

ALBANY -- Albany County Executive Dan McCoy has announced an elderly man diagnosed with coronavirus has died.

The man was at St. Peter's Hospital and also had several underlying health conditions.

McCoy expressed his condolences to the family.

There are currently 178 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Albany County. 

539 people in the county are under mandatory quarantine, and 234 people are under precautionary quarantine.
