Albany County reports five new coronavirus cases

There are now 1,644 confirmed positive coronavirus cases in Albany County.

That’s up five cases from Tuesday. However, no new deaths have been reported.


Albany County Executive Dan McCoy says that there are 845 people under mandatory quarantine and seven people under precautionary quarantine.

The county says that 27 people are being hospitalized, down six people from Tuesday. There are still three people in the ICU. The hospitalization rate for the county stands at 1.64 percent.
