There are six new cases of the coronavirus in Albany County since Saturday. That is 24,327 to date.

There were no new hospitalizations and  three patients in the ICU.

A total of 10 county residents are currently in the hospital for COVID-19.

There was one new death in the county -- a woman in her 90s.  

The Albany County death toll has climbed to 381. 

“With each person who gets a COVID-19 vaccine, there is hope and the promise that we beating the virus and will reach herd immunity soon,” said County Executive McCoy. “We have lost so many people to the virus. It claimed the life of another Albany County resident yesterday and I extend my sympathy to her family and friends as I have to all of those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19. We must continue to focus on vaccinations to protect everyone, including our most vulnerable.”
