Albany County reported two new deaths from coronavirus on Friday, bringing the total in the county to 4.

County Executive McCoy says that a male in his 60s passed away on Thursday night. A second man, also in his 60s passed away Friday morning. Both men had underlying health conditions.


There are now 254 confirmed cases within the county. That’s up from 238 on Thursday.

County Executive McCoy says there are over 400 people in mandatory quarantine.

There are now 56 people being hospitalized, and 15 people are in the ICU.

McCoy says that a cashier at the Popeye’s on Central Avenue tested positive for the virus. Anyone who visited the location on March 23 or March 25 is asked to call the Albany County Health Department.
