An Albany man is facing charges after a high-speed crash in New York City that killed another man.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Alamin Ahmed was driving 97 mph on his way to work at a Queens hospital. Ahmed went through a red light, hitting another car and killing driver Daniel Crawford.

Police say Ahmed’s blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit.

Ahmed was arraigned on charges of vehicle manslaughter and drunken driving.
