ALBANY - The Albany Police Athletic League says it's doing its part to help the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

The organization usually provides programs for youth in the city of Albany, but during this time, they're helping out senior citizens.

Members packed up and delivered bags of cheer to seniors who live at St. Vincent's Apartments in Albany.

The bags include a variety of items - including fresh fruit, snacks, puzzles, and Gatorade.

With their programs for youth currently suspended -- they wanted to figure out how else to help out the community.

Board members donated money for the bags, and they said they had some money set aside that they're currently not using that they reallocated.

Hear from the executive director of PAL about how inspiring it is to see everyone step-up during this time, by watching the video of Emily DeVito's story.
