Volunteers will be putting together more than 100 Thanksgiving meal boxes Monday, to send out to people around the Capital Region.
The Capital City Rescue Mission will be assembling and distributing the boxes.
Last week, NewsChannel 13 reported that the Capital City Rescue Mission is getting ready to feed as many as 1,600 people this Thanksgiving.
The dining room will look different this year. It will be spaced out and socially distant.
If you want to help with the event, there is still time.
“On Thanksgiving we still have some spots for volunteers to come in and help us out in the kitchen and that area. There will be spacing and masking, and we will protect everybody. We do feed the homeless and the needy every day. We never stop,” Executive Director Perry Jones said.
Monday’s preparations begin at 9 a.m.
