Albany golf course waiting on federal funds to reopen

ALBANY - As local golf courses reopen, some avid golfers are wondering why Capital Hills is not.


Albany's Department of General Services Commissioner Sergio Panunzio says the golf course loses money and even if it were to open this summer, it still wouldn't make enough money to break even.

He says the only way the golf course can open is if the federal government comes through and subsidizes the states and cities with their legislation that is now sitting in Washington.
