ALTAMONT - If you're looking to get in the holiday spirit in a COVID friendly way, Christmas Land is a good option.
This is actually the fifth year for Christmas Land, but it's a season unlike any other due to the pandemic.
When it comes to making a safe, fun environment, the good news is 90% of the activities at Christmas Land are outside, including train and sleigh rides.
People are asked to wear masks, social distance and use hand sanitizer.
If you want to see Santa, you must make an appointment. They placed Santa in a snow globe this year so he can keep his distance.
If people don't feel comfortable to going to see Santa this year, Christmas Land is doing virtual visits with the big guy. Parents can make an appointment only and pick the day and time they would like to talk with him.
Christmas Land isn't just for kids. Anyone can check out the lights, have some pizza, sit by the fire with some homemade cookies, and support local businesses.
See a preview of what it all looks like by watching the video of Emily DeVito's story.
