There are now 563 positive coronavirus cases in Albany County. That’s up 48 cases from Wednesday.

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy says there are 668 people under mandatory quarantine and 66 people under precautionary quarantine.

County Executive McCoy says there are 32 people in the hospital, and there are eight adults in the ICU.

He says that the numbers will likely go up because of increased testing, and the new testing sites that are opening in the county will give people more access.

McCoy also announced a partnership between the state, Albany County, and Hudson Valley Wireless. Hudson Valley Wireless will help provide affordable and reliable high speed internet access for the hill town communities in Albany County.

This is a developing story. NewsChannel 13 will have more information starting Live at Noon.
