Crane Stationery Company is closing its Berkshire County plant and moving to Cohoes in June, the Berkshire Eagle reports.

The parent company’s CEO plans to move the entire North Adams operation to Mohawk Fine Papers.

According to the Berkshire Eagle, the move is triggered by the impact of both the coronavirus and the decline of stationery use in the digital age.

Crane has been associated with Berkshire manufacturing for more than 200 years.
