ALBANY - Kathy Hochul's ascent to the top job in New York State symbolizes a history-making moment at the Capitol where women have only recently begun chipping away at what has long been a male-dominated political culture.

"Kathy Hochul will become governor and I believe she will step up to the challenge," Governor Andrew Cuomo stated in a pre-recorded address, on his last day in office.

During the message, Mr. Cuomo defended his record over the past decade and portrayed himself as a victim of a "media frenzy."

"We have developed over the last decade a new paradigm of government in that state," Cuomo asserts, "One that actually forks for people."

For the government to continue working, Mr. Cuomo believes, all teachers in the state must be vaccinated, masks must be required in high risk areas, and private businesses must insist on proof of vaccination for large gatherings.

"Political procrastination is Covid collaboration," Cuomo says, "We know the choice is between the politically contentious or the medically infectious."

When all was said and done, Mr. Cuomo steps aside predicting that when New Yorkers are informed with the facts and then they're given the truth, they will inevitably make the right decisions.

"I believe that for New York the best is yet to be," Cuomo states.
