A death at Thacher Park has been ruled a suicide. Investigators are now trying to identify the man.

They say a 911 call from park employees came into the Albany County Sheriff's Office around 7:30 Thursday morning. They reported a suspicious incident inside the bathroom of the Glen Dune Picnic Area.

The sheriff's deputies found the body of the man at the bottom of the escarpment.

The man is described as Asian, around 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 170-180 pounds. He had longer brown hair, was clean shaven, and had no tattoos or piercings.

He was wearing blue nylon gym shorts, a tee shirt, and white Nike Air sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany County Sheriff’s Office at (518) 765-2352.
