Many Capital Region communities without power after storms

Thousands of people in the Capital Region are without power Friday after strong storms rolled through Thursday night.

As of Friday morning, there are more than 3,000 people without power in Columbia County.


In Rensselaer County, there are more than 2,000 people without power. National Grid reports that more than 1,300 people are without power in Washington County.

There are also nearly 300 people in Albany County without power.
