Mayor Sheehan releases statement on recent Albany violence

Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan released a statement on recent gun violence in the city Wednesday.

Mayor Sheehan wrote, “I am outraged to learn of more instances of gun violence occurring in the City of Albany. One shooting is too many, and the trend that we are experiencing is unacceptable and unbearable. Our residents deserve better, and our city deserves better…”

“The safety of our residents is our top priority, and we remain committed to the strategies we know are effective at disrupting violence,” she added.
