Schenectady man charged in jewelry theft

A Schenectady man is facing charges for allegedly stealing jewelry.

Colonie police say on October 1, Michael Lamalfa stole a gold necklace and bracelet from Glennpeter Jewelers.

Police say Schenectady and Niskayuna  also had larcenies that contributed to identifying the suspect.

Lamalfa was arrested Thursday night in Niskayuna.

The items stolen were valued at over $7,500. They have not been recovered.
