Three teens were arrested in Wednesday evening in Albany after they were caught with guns in a stolen car, according to police.

Albany Police responded to a call of shots fired around 7:50 p.m. near Third Avenue and Cuyler Street. They got a description of a vehicle involved in the shooting, which had been stolen on Aug. 11.

An officer on patrol spotted the vehicle a short time later and pulled it over on Second Street near Quail Street. Two 17-year-old boys from Albany and a 17-year-old from Troy were in the car. They were all arrested.

Police found three loaded guns during the traffic stop – a 9mm handgun, a .32 caliber handgun, and a .38 caliber revolver.

The teens’ names are not being released because of their age. They’re all charged with criminal possession of a weapon, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and reckless endangerment. The case is being handled in Family Court.
