Fourth shooting in Albany since midnight now a homicide investigation

ALBANY - At least 11 people have been shot in the city of Albany since just after midnight on Thursday morning. Including one who has died.

The most recent shooting happened late Thursday afternoon on Third Street. Police say a 34-year-old man was shot. He was taken to Albany Med where he died.

This follows three other shootings in the city on Thursday.

Early Thursday morning, nine people were shot in two separate incidents. Those victims are expected to be okay.

Then, police say a 21-year-old man was then shot in the leg at Westerlo Street near Grand Street. He was taken to Albany Med and is also expected to be okay.
