The mass vaccination site at University at Albany is moving. Gov. Cuomo announced Tuesday morning that the site would relocate to Crossgates Mall starting April 16.

Anyone with an existing appointment to get their shot at UAlbany will get an email or text message alerting them to go to Crossgates Mall instead.

The UAlbany location has administered more than 150,000 doses since it opened in January, with a capacity to give out about 2,000 shots per day.

The new location will be in the space where Lord & Taylor used to be. The governor’s office says they’ll have the space there to administer three times as many shots per day.

The COVID-19 drive-thru testing facility at UAlbany will not be moving. That will remain in place.
