Students at Albany Law School are putting their education to work to help save the American bumblebee.

The species has declined by 89% over the past 20 years, according to the Center for Biological Diversity.

Their role as pollinators make the bees critical to the health of our eco-system.

The students filed a petition with the federal government to add the American bumblebee to the endangered species list.

Learn how many species of bees are already on the endangered species list by watching the video of the story.
