Researchers at UAlbany using AI to improve winter weather forecasts

Researchers at the University at Albany are using artificial intelligence to improve our understanding of winter weather.

They're part of a new institute set up by the National Science Foundation.


It includes universities around the country and private companies.

The purpose is to create computer programs that can sift through tons of data and storm history, learn on its own, and improve forecasting to help human scientists.
